Revolutionizing a Hybrid Work Model in Record Time

Major Financial Solutions Firm's path to achieving optimal hybrid workplace efficiency.

Challenge

A prominent firm in the financial services industry, encompassing several global locations and thousands of employees, faced a critical challenge of integrating and optimizing a hybrid work model. This task was monumental, encompassing organizational culture change, infrastructure setup, policy formulation, and training, among other things.


The senior leadership of the organization, including the President, CHRO, and heads of IT and RE, sought assistance in the rapid transformation of their work model to hybrid. Despite the vast scale and intricacy of the task, the urgency to create a flexible, engaging, and productive work environment prevailed.

Journey

We collaborated with the client, reviewing their current work model, identifying gaps, and mapping desired outcomes. Given the hybrid model's novelty, a significant hurdle was cultivating an understanding and acceptance among the broader leadership team and staff.


We found the critical leverage point to be the creation of an 'Enterprise Site Leader Network' — a group of leaders who could be the ambassadors of this change within their respective offices. These leaders were instrumental in propagating the message, training their teams, and instituting the new hybrid work model policies and tools.


Moreover, an essential part of the strategy was creating an Employee Value Proposition (EVP), robust 'Hybrid Program' encompassing clear guidelines, collaboration tools, and crisis management frameworks, bolstered by a comprehensive training module for management and contributors alike.

Impact

With this intensive, multifaceted approach, the client managed to transform its operating model to hybrid within the projected timeframe. Employee satisfaction soared, reflected in increased E-SAT scores, and the organization's readiness for future challenges was fortified.


Moreover, this change led to additional sites of the firm being recognized as a 'Great Place to Work'. This impact also translated into a significant cost reduction, as the firm integrated its operations and closed several sites.


This successful transformation is a testament to the power of strategic planning, effective change management, and, most importantly, a focused, committed team willing to embrace and drive change.
